If you’ve been reading my posts for a while now, you’ll know I’m all about having glowy skin. There is however, a very fine line between looking like a glowy goddess and looking like a glittery, oily mess. If you’ve want to get that glow without having to risk it through layering up the powder highlight, the NIOD Photography fluid may well just be your saving grace.

It is true that this is no new product to the beauty market but for some reason it never really made it’s way down under to the guru’s in Australia. The NIOD photography fluid is a colourless priming fluid that uses nano-prismatic particles to refract light and balance out undesirable hues to make skin look better, specifically in photographs (or in other words, photoshop in a bottle). 

If you’re thinking that this is basically a fancy primer, think again. Yes, it does double as a primer and can be worn under foundation but it also makes a fantastic base on it’s own. For day-to-day use I like to use the NIOD Photography fluid as my base instead of wearing foundation. With the texture of a serum, it gives the skin a stunningly natural pearlescent glow and helps to even skin-tone and blur imperfections.

Coming in a 30 ml glass bottle, the price point is very reasonable considering the amount of product you receive. My only complaint however would be the packaging. NIOD uses a glass pipette design to dispense the product however I do find that initially trying to put the pipette back into the bottle involves a serious amount of concentration if you don't want any product to spill over the sides (trust me, I found out the hard way). The photography fluid is also a little thick for the pipette to draw up and dispense however you only need a few drops to cover your face adequately so I don't find this  too much of an issue. 

I am totally hooked on this little step of my daily makeup routine and love the way that my skin looks and feels. I'm also super impressed that it doesn't break me out or irritate my skin the way most foundations do. If you're looking to make your skin a little smoother, even and more radiant, I'd definitely recommend the NIOD Photography fluid.
